Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues has become a much-loved part of Wasaga Beach’s cultural and community landscape. Each year, the festival brings people together through live music, local pride, tourism, business activity, volunteerism, and a shared love of the blues.
As the festival continues to grow and evolve, we are seeking new Board members to help guide the organization into its next chapter.
This is an exciting opportunity for a community-minded individual who wants to make a meaningful contribution to one of Wasaga Beach’s signature events.

Who These Opportunities May Be Right For
These roles may be a strong fit for someone with experience in governance, business, nonprofit leadership, community service, municipal relations, tourism, events, sponsorship, arts and culture, or volunteer leadership.
Most importantly, we are looking for individuals who are:

The ideal applicant does not need to be a blues expert. A love of live music and community certainly helps, but the most important qualities are leadership, good judgment, communication, and a genuine desire to support the festival’s continued success.

Chair of the Board
The Chair is accountable for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Board’s processes and governance.
The Chair is responsible for leading the Board in the performance of its duties including the discharge of all fiduciary and legal obligations. The Board has adopted a policy of having a management Chair.
The Chair shall be a member of operating management and, therefore, shall share in the accountabilities, authorities and responsibilities delegated to the Board of Directors.
The Chair shall provide advice and counsel to the Directors and Committees respecting matters within the purview of the Board.
Secretary/Treasurer
The Secretary/Treasurer is accountable for the security of all records related to the Board of Directors and all its committees and the integrity of the fiscal affairs of the Corporation.
The Secretary/Treasurer is responsible to the Board in the performance of their duties including the discharge of all fiduciary and legal obligations.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall be a member of the operating management and therefore, shall share in the accountabilities, authorities and responsibilities delegated to the Board of Directors.
The Secretary/Treasurer shall provide advice and counsel to the Committees respecting matters within the purview of the Board.
Director of Operations
The Director of Operations is accountable for the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Logistics Team and the Hospitality functions.
The Director of Operations is responsible to the Board in the performance of their duties including the discharge of all fiduciary and legal obligations.
The Director of Operations shall be a member of the operating management and therefore, shall share in the accountabilities, authorities and responsibilities delegated to the Board of Directors.
The Director of Operations shall provide advice and counsel to the Committees respecting matters within the purview of the Board.
