Gabor Szepesi - artistic director

Gabor Szepesi has made music his priority for the last 40 years. He started playing in bands in 1968 and spent the summer of 1969 as part of the house band at the Dardanella in Wasaga Beach.

Gabor then went on to play with dozens of great local bands including: Bloodstone, Justin Paige, Lenny Solomon, Grant Smith, Sweet Blindness, Wayne Buttery & the Groove Project and  more.

In addition to being a musician, Gabor was also the founder and president of PA+. The company, a provider of world class audio equipment, quickly became the preferred supplier for Toronto’s top live venues including Massey Hall, Roy Thompson Hall, The Sony Centre and Harbourfront. PA+ had house sound systems in: The Jarvis House, Lee’s Palace, The Diamond Club, Rock N’ Roll Heaven, RPM and The Warehouse.

In 2015 Gabor settled in Wasaga Beach and was asked to consult on the production RFP’s for Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues, working with Wayne Buttery to coordinate festival logistics.

This year, Gabor steps into the Artistic Director shoes for Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues. In his hands we are sure to celebrate our 12th Anniversary in style.

See you at the festival.
